Vintage Decorative Porcelain Tile GDR Hans Christian Andersen Ugly Duckling D11. Handpainted art tile. Ready to hang as plaque. Says Denmark on front. Back stamped GDR (former East Germany). Date of 9-76. Includes maker mark on back but I can't read it. Off-white glazed tile measures 6 X 6 inches. On front is scene of swan family in water with baby duckling. Tile reads Hand Painted. Hans Christian Andersen (author of The Ugly Duckling fairytale). Tile titled The Ugly Duckling. Greens, blues, grays and black outlines. No chips or cracks.
