This is an original signed vintage Berggren Swedish Folk Tile from circa 1960's. It is decorated in the whimsical tradition of old Swedish folk paintings known as "Dalmalningar." The patterns and colors are faithfully reproduced by hand screening. The theme is Hospitality. The Swedish saying translates as: "Welcome to Our Home." The original gold foil Berggren label is affixed to the tile's felt backing. It identifies the design as #133. This tile is in Excellent pre-owned condition. No chips, no cracks or repairs.
